Troedyrhiw Bowls Club is a private club situated towards the top end of the Taff valley just south of Merthyr Tydfil.

We are justifiably proud of our well maintained green and have a fully licensed bar with real ales, lagers, ciders, wines, soft drinks and teas and coffees available.  A large outside seating area offers a very pleasant place to be for an afternoon or summer’s evening.

The club has a ladies section who play competitive games in the Penyglyn league, a men’s section who play in the East Wales, Mid Glamorgan and Merthyr leagues as well as WBA tournaments and a vibrant retired men’s section who play over 35 friendly fixtures throughout South Wales and the English Marches. A recently formed mixed league is proving very popular.

The Club is always looking to build on its current strengths and new members are very welcome. Membership is free for new bowlers for the first year and all equipment is provided. All you need is a flat pair of shoes (trainers are ideal). The Club is very keen to attract young players to take up the game and hope to put on regular open days for people to come and try out bowls and run some family fun days which will include target bowls for the children.
